Market Leading Engineering Services firm is embarking upon a period of transformation and looking forward to hiring a Senior Commercial Leader to join their leadership team.
This role will manage key spend area across external consultancy & logistics.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-regarded brand during a period of vast growth and will offer candidates the opportunity to lead a team of 4 and shape things within their own image.
Role Responsibilities:
- Working within a commercial division, lead a team of 4 to develop innovative procurement strategies to drive innovation and delivery across consultancy and logistics spend
- Collaborate and build relationships across the supply chain, operating with a strategic long-term view to ensure effective delivery of projects and contracts in line with wider business strategies
- Manage multiple programs of procurement, developing and implementing procurement strategy
- Utilities market engagement to develop new commercial models and provide innovative practices, leading the implementation of these into procurement programs
- Manage supplier issues by looking at continuous improvement objectives whilst monitoring regulatory matters
Key Skills Sought:
- Strong people leadership experience in procurement/contract management within a matrix environment
- Highly adept in managing consultancy
- Understanding of construction related contract models such as NEC, ideally NEC4
- Strong stakeholder management experience to effectively engage cross-functional stakeholder groups within large environment
